These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MyShankara mobile application and website (together, "the Service"), operated by MyShankara Pte. Ltd. ("MyShankara", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

2. Description of the Service

MyShankara offers spiritual content and tools inspired by Sanatana Dharma and the teachings of Adi Shankaracharya, including daily Darshan reflections, a Seva Diya practice tracker, and Guru Chat, a conversational feature that provides guidance on life, dharma, and scripture.

3. Not Professional Advice

Content and responses provided through the Service, including Guru Chat, are for spiritual reflection and general informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional medical, mental health, legal, or financial advice. If you are experiencing a crisis or emergency, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services in your area.

4. Free Trial and Subscriptions

We may offer a free trial period for certain features. After the trial ends, continued access to premium features may require a paid subscription, as described in the app at the time of purchase. Subscription terms, pricing, and cancellation are managed through the applicable app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) and are subject to their respective terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems;
• Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service's content without permission;
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its content, design, and trademarks, is owned by MyShankara or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific expectations.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyShankara shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate, through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
